Memory Lane

I'm sorry but did I really go to my last class of junior year today? Am I really about to be a SENIOR? Can't be real. Nope. I don't want to grow up. Student teaching next Spring? No way, I'm not mature enough for that. Just take me back to senior year of high school and let me relive these amazing years I have been blessed with. I mean seriously, I feel like just yesterday me and Lindsey were in the car bawling on the way to Starkville to move into the dorm, and then opening our DG bid cards that we had been waiting to get our hands on for what seemed like an eternity. These past 3 years of college have far exceeded my expectations. God has placed so many wonderful people in my life that have been with me through all of the laughter, and the tears. Honestly, it terrifies me to think that a year from now, everyone will be going down different roads. If you know me, you know that I'm not a fan of change or goodbyes. Ok ok ok, I'm getting a little ahead of myself. I still have a wonderful year ahead of me, it's just all going by WAYYY too fast. Excuse me while I take a short trip down memory lane......

Oh, and I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have an encouraging, loving, beautiful mother who has been there for me every step of the way. I love you, Mom!

Okay, I'm back. Sorry if you actually went on that little escapade with me down memory lane. Well, here's to studying for finals, and looking forward to an awesome senior year with the best friends in the entire world! Happy Wednesday!

Procrastination

What am I doing when I have 5 projects due between now and Wednesday? Ohhh, just blogging. About what? Well, nothing really.  Wait, does my room need to be cleaned? YESSS! Can we say procrastination? Yep, sure can.

Light

Y'all.....let the weekend begin....My management project is complete! I'm finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel (aka the semester). You know it's been a long week when you misspell your name.....twice. But...I am thrilled to say I am slowly but surely crossing projects off my list. This weekend is Super Bulldog Weekend, only the best Spring weekend in Starkville, MS. It's kind of the last shebang before exams. Everyone cross your fingers for good weather because as of now, rain is predicted....but hey, that could be fun...right?
The only drawback to this weekend is that I'm missing my baby cousin's 1st birthday party :( She turned 1 yesterday, and I cannot believe it...sweet precious baby girl! Wish I could be there
The Weekend Avery was born....
...One year later :)
Love you, Aves...Happy 1st Birthday and here's to many more to come!

I'm about to take on the last class of the week to turn in my project...Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend! Happy Super Bulldog Weekend 2012!

Festivities

Y'allll, I feel like the only time I get a chance to post is on the weekends! Sorry.....that will change once the semester is over---which by the way is in 2 weeks! Senior? No, can't be real. Like am I really going to be student teaching in January? Excuse me while I go puke. This girl is not ready for the real world.......nope, not one bit!
Anyways, this weekends festivites are going to be extraodinary. Today is ALL SIG DAY! Yeahhhh so excited......I mean who doesn't love a good redneck day time party on a beautiful spring afternoon? Buttt, the best part is---The best roomie/friend turns 21 saturday at midnight, and I cannot contain my excitement for her birthday activities! Love you, Shelbyyyy.....finally 21! Now, we've just got to get me to July 6th. Gag......Soooo. Farrrr. I hope everyone has a spectacular weekend, and enjoy this beautiful spring weather!

The Calm Before The Storm

WOW. What a wonderful, long weekend I had at home.  I could not have asked for a more perfect Easter weekend. First of all, the break was much needed......it was kind of the calm before the storm (in relation to these last 2 1/2 weeks of the semester.) Thursday night I got home and was in bed by 9:30.....no shame in that---it felt awesome. Friday was spent in the kitchen with mom, laying out by the pool, shopping, and catching up with high school friends. We had a delicious meal at Kiefer's for Madi's 21st, and then hit the Cherokee for a fun night of celebration. It is amazing how much I laugh when I am with those girls.....I swear my stomach muscles were sore the next morning.

Saturday was a little more laid back.....just lounged around the house with mom and the dogs (my ideal Saturday) and took a good ole afternoon nap which is a big deal because I literally can never find time to squeeze naps in this semester. That night I finally saw The Hunger Games which was incredible! Of course, the book was better....but isn't it always?
Please play fetch with me!

Easter morning came quick considering we over slept just a wee bit due to the fact that our power went out in the middle of the night. Anyways, I woke up to my traditional Easter basket (same basket I've had since I was like 6). The Easter bunny is always so generous to me...left me all kinds of fun goodies this year.....everything from makeup, to neon sports bras, to clothes, to my first pottery bunny. Oh, and just 2 chocolate bunnies......YES, TWO! "I couldn't remember if you liked the caramel ones or the peanut butter ones." Thanks, Mom.....I mean, Easter bunny :)

However, we all know this is not the reason we celebrate Easter. After we were awake and ready to go, we headed to church at FBCJ, and let me tell ya....the service was beautiful! Every single song gave me chills all over. The message was wonderful, and perfect for Easter morning. How cool is it that we are saved by grace through faith because Jesus died to save us from our sins? Pretty amazing/mind boggling/neat/awesome if you ask me.  Always love going back to my home church, especially on a morning like Easter.
After church, we had some family over for a delicious lunch. That afternoon we went out to my cousin Darah's for a crawfish boil to see her and Avery (her daughter...my second cousin...but we're just going to stick with Aunt Mags :) )  That afternoon is what every Sunday afternoon should be like. We were outside by the lake laughing, talking, singing itsy bitsy spider, and simply enjoying life. I can't even begin to explain how adorable baby Avery is....I can't believe the sweet thing is almost ONE! She is a bundle of joy that never ceases to bring a smile to my face, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for her. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend!

If you've even read this far----I'm sorry for the long post.....I have probably bored you to tears. Too many details from this wonderful weekend.....now time to buckle down for the final stretch of the semester....I can do this!

Home Sweet Home

YESS.. I finally get to go home today, and I can't wait! Let me tell ya, there is no better feeling than knowing you're about to go home for a longgggg weekend after a chaotic week at school....and Easter weekend at that. Plus, I just love going home in general. I'll be pulling in around 7:00 to my dogs waiting in the driveway, a homecooked meal of seared tuna steaks, and my sweet mom! Oh, and just in time for American Idol...it's like a typical highschool Thursday night all over again, except I'll be coming in from college instead of Accent (dance team) practice. I'll be spending by my weekend soaking up the sun, getting together with highschool friends (Kiefers here we come!), and being with family..........and I'm sure there will be a little shopping involved..........right, Mom? :)
Who's excited about Easter Sunday? I know I am. I might be one of the only people who still receives a visit from the Easter Bunny, and I'm totally okay with it. Oh, and I get to indulge in a DIET COKE! Yes, indeed......I DID IT! More importantly, we get to gather with friends and family to celebrate God's amazing grace which is completely awesome. I mean, the fact the Jesus died to save US from OUR sins is probably the neatest concept ever. I hope everyone has a fabulous Easter weekend. Relax and enjoy!

P.S. Happy 21st Birthday to my bestie, Madi! Can't wait to see you fridayy!

It sure is!
Couldn't have said it better myself

Man's Best Friend

Soooo, if you know me you know that I absolutely loveeeee dogs. All of them. I could see the most hideous looking dog on the side of the road and I would pick it up and find it a loving home. (Yes, I have picked puppies up off of the side of the road before.) There has never been a point in my life where I have had less than 2 dogs. Anyways, my mom just sent me an email about dogs and how loyal they are, and it could not have been stated in a more perfect way:
Think about it......this is so true.

I must admit, I have the most wonderful 3 dogs in the whole world, and not being able to have them with me at college is miserable.....but hey, I get to see them in 2 days! :) Get ready Holly, Buster, and Ritz....Maggies coming homeee! (can we say gooby?)
My pups loving some cookies in bed
Sweet, sweet Ritz!
Holly-the only Christmas present I still use after 8 years :)

YES!

Happy Tuesday!
